This Wallet Protects Your iPhone – Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case Review

Mujjo is a Dutch company that makes cool stuff. You’ve probably seen our review of the Mujjo leather touchscreen gloves. They also make pretty cool iPhone cases, and we’re going to dive into their Full Leather Wallet in this review.

Design

Premium and minimal Mujjo never disappoint in the design area. The case is made from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. From the unboxing experience to your first glance at it, it feels and looks like a luxury product. We tested out the Monaco blue and black color. Although the blue feels a lot more premium than the black, which we found strange, Mujjos response is that the leather is cut from different areas, so the feel varies.

The inner area is lined with Japanese microfiber, which has a satin-like finish, almost a soft suede material. The case itself fits pretty snug on the phone. Because it’s a leather case, after using the case for some time, the leather acquires a patina which is the leather softening and molding to the way you use it, becoming yours aesthetically in a way.

With a raised camera and bezel leather lip, the case protects your phone from scratches.

Functionality

The headlining feature is the ability to put ID, travel, or credit cards inside the Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case. Your phone is now your wallet, providing quick access to your credit or transportation card. It’s a cool feature. The first time you put a card in, it’s not so easy to do so. But the leather molds and adjust, and after some time, it gets easier.

However, the more cards you put, the more you stretch the leather, and on occasions where you put fewer cards, it eventually falls out. So you have to be cautious with how many cards you want to use and stick with it. We recommend no more than 3.

The volume and sleep buttons are covered in leather and are responsive, which I like. That’s the first thing I look for in a case. They get even more responsive with time as you break in the leather.

A Few Cons

If you’re getting a case like this, you must be willing to say goodbye to 2 features you get when you pay that premium price for an iPhone. Wireless charging and MagSafe. We tried, it didn’t work. MagSafe was pretty obvious, but wireless charging was a bummer as the case is advertised to charge wirelessly, but we couldn’t get it to work. Each time you want to wireless charge your phone, you have to take off the case, and this case fits pretty snug, so it’s not the easiest to take off.

At $54.90, This case itself is not cheap, so you’re paying a good amount to lose two features. However, this is not a problem if you don’t use wireless charging and MagSafe accessories.

Conclusion

The Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case is an excellent premium leather case that does what it sets out to do. It’s an interesting competitor to the Apple leather case, which is $59. It’s $4 cheaper and has a wallet feature in the case itself but lacks wireless charging and MagSafe. Whereas the Apple leather case has wireless charging, but if you want the wallet feature, you’ll have to pay another $59 for the MagSafe wallet accessory. Altogether that is $118. So when you think about it that way, the Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case is a good deal.

All in all, the Mujjo Full Leather Wallet Case is a wallet that protects your phone. It’s an excellent choice for people who don’t want to splurge on an Apple case leather case with the wallet accessory while keeping a premium design and feel. You can always use the “Find My” app to locate your iPhone however, there is no “Find My” app for your wallet. If you hate the thought of losing your wallet, then this is the case for you.
