Mujjo Leather Touchscreen Gloves – Review

Leather gloves are everywhere, touchscreen gloves too. But leather touchscreen gloves? Now that’s a different story. They’re rare, and if you want to stay stylish while keeping your hands warm along with the ability to use your phone, that can be a problem.

We found one from Mujjo for €99.95. Out of the few leather touchscreen gloves out there, is this one worth it? Let’s find out.

Design – at a Glance

The Mujjo leather touchscreen gloves are sleek, modern, and minimal. They don’t feature any of the classic details you’d find on typical leather gloves, which makes you appreciate the design for its uniqueness. The gloves feature a fold-over button closure that has two buttonholes.

They come in a single color, that’s black, and I’m okay with that. There’s something sleek and sophisticated about a black pair of leather gloves, as well as the versatility it brings to your wardrobe. That’s what Mujjo offers you here, and they did an excellent job at that.

How Is It as a Touch Screen Glove?

So far, we know the gloves look great, but ultimately if you’re looking for touchscreen gloves, you’re buying them for the touchscreen functionality. It needs to work consistently; otherwise, buying them would be all for nothing if you have to take them off to use your phone constantly.

The Mujjo leather gloves feature nanotechnology, which is meant to mimic the conductive properties of the human skin. The nanotechnology is infused into the leather, allowing you to use all fingers, even the palm of your hand.

There are some dead zones in areas like the inner finger, but once you get used to using it, you get around that quickly. But instead of telling you about it, I’ll show you.

One thing to bare in mind is for it to work well you need to choose the right size; otherwise, there’ll be excess material that gets in the way. That makes it a nightmare to use fluidly, and that can be annoying.

I’ve tested the gloves on iPhone, Android Phone, and even on a touchscreen laptop, and it works great. It’s fluid responsive and works as you’d expect. Although it’ll never be the same experience as using your fingers without gloves, but it’s pretty close.

Are They Comfortable, and Will They Keep You Warm?

Comfort matters, there’s nothing worse than feeling constricted because of what you’re wearing. Gloves aren’t just worn for style; practicality is important too. The Mujjo leather gloves have a cashmere lining, the softest glove lining you can find at the moment. It feels great and, most importantly, protects you from the cold.

The whole purpose of wearing gloves is to keep yourself warm. How do they fare at doing that? Excellent. And that’s a result of the added special treatment that makes the leather water, windproof, soil-resistant, as well as added anti-microbial properties.

But I will add an emphasis on “keep yourself warm.” These gloves, just like any other gloves, won’t magically make your hands warm if you’re in the cold and take it off and put it back on. It’ll maintain the temperature your hands are at, so if you’re somewhere nice and warm and put the gloves on before you go outside where it’s cold, it will keep that warm feeling in freezing temperatures.

How Do the Mujjo Leather Gloves Fit?

The fit of gloves is super important, too tight, and it’s too constricting. Too big, and they look and feel weird. Anything that isn’t perfect can result in a lack of precision when using your phone, and that will have a significant impact on your use of these Mujjo leather touchscreen gloves or any touchscreen glove for that matter.

Mujjo has a size guide on their website in which you have a template of different hand sizes to print, but not everyone has access to a printer. So I did it the old fashion way of using a measuring tape.

I had no idea what to expect in terms of fit and sizing, the first pair I got was big even though they were my size, but I got a second pair of gloves, sized down and they fit perfectly.

I recommend you size down if you’re going to get these gloves, they will stretch over time.

There is Some Room For Improvement

One other thing I’ve come to notice about the fit is the gloves are much more snug around the fingers than the palm and cuff. Even with the button closure, those areas could be a bit more snug, and the cuffs could be longer. If you’re not wearing a jacket that extends over your wrists, you can feel the cold breeze seeping in through that area sometimes.

And while the button closure is a nice touch to keep the fit locked in place, it’s inconvenient buttoning it in and out every time you take off and put on the gloves, while with other gloves, that isn’t the case.

The older version of the Mujjo leather gloves had a magnetic strap, which seems like it would’ve been more convenient; however, the button mechanism is good, just not always convenient.

While my fingers are long, the fingers on these gloves aren’t. And because the gloves are snug around the fingers, which is good, movement can feel rigid at times with its short fingers, which is a downside. If the gloves had quirks, which are little triangles of leather between the fingers that allow free movement of fingers, it would make all the difference. It’s something Mujjo should consider for the next version of the gloves.

How Is the Quality of the Mujjo Leather Touchscreen Gloves?

For €99.95, quality matters; we mentioned the design, the touchscreen functionality, and the fit. What about the material? Here is where the gloves excel and what impressed me.

These Black Mujjo leather touchscreen gloves are made from Ethiopian lambskin. The leather is soft, durable, and smells like leather. Some may like that, some may not, but if you are buying a leather product that doesn’t smell like leather, then it’s not a quality product.

These feel and look more premium compared to other leather gloves I’ve encountered in shops. These gloves have this glossy shimmer to it that you can see in the photos, but even that doesn’t do it justice.

Are the Mujjo Touchscreen Leather Worth It?

As leather gloves, these are perfect, they look amazing, quality and comfort is superb, and it does the job of keeping you warm. As touchscreen gloves? They’re just as good.
We live in an era where touchscreen gloves are a must. Although leather touchscreen gloves are rare, this is one of the few that works very well. At €99.95, it’s a worthy investment for the convenience, quality, and style.
